“Now the name of the man was Nabal; and the name of his wife Abigail: and she was a woman of good understanding, and of a beautiful countenance: but the man was churlish and evil in his doings; and he was of the house of Caleb.” - 1 Samuel 25:3.

“And when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, Blessed be the Lord, that hath pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal, and hath kept his servant from evil: for the Lord hath returned the wickedness of Nabal upon his own head. And David sent and communed with Abigail, to take her to him to wife.” - 1 Samuel 25:39.

“And Abigail hasted, and arose and rode upon an ass, with five damsels of hers that went after her; and she went after the messengers of David, and became his wife.” - 1 Samuel 25:42.

The Bible tells us Abigail was intelligent and beautiful, and this wisdom kept David from killing her husband Nabal for his disrespectful ways. Abigail underwent a transformation by becoming David’s wife. Indeed, many women in the Bible went through transformations. Rahab went from a harlot to an ancestor of Jesus Christ. Esther went from an orphan to a queen; Ruth went from a widow with nothing to a wealthy wife and another ancestor of Jesus Christ. Each of these women had to prepare for change, process the change, and pivot to the new situation.

Based on Michelle’s signature keynote and audio coaching program “From Transition to Transformation”, this coaching will inspire you to take control of your transitions and move them to positive and fulfilling transformation. Participants will learn the two ways transition comes into your life, and the three steps to bring about your desired transformation. In a group setting, we will clarify your business vision and mission, determine the best set up and form for your business, and help you identify the resources needed to help you run your business. The goal setting and action planning will equip you to determine the optimal course of action to launch your business. If your business is already launched, the coaching will help you create an action plan to scale, or reach strategic objectives.

LYDIA PROGRAM COACHING OUTCOMES:

• Clarify your Business Vision/Mission (Initial planning/Defining the goal)

Develop your business mission statement, determine the form your business should take, plan how you will provide the service or product to the market and determine your initial resource requirements and support team needs.

Write your 8-element business plan. A business plan is important when seeking funding sources and provides the basic plan for launching and building your business as well as identifying and mitigating risks.

• Plan Business Execution and Scaling

Many businesses fail because they are poorly executed, or when it is time to scale up, they are ill-prepared. This module will help you plan the best mode of launching your business, and your initial expansion plan. Purpose Coaching: “The Alabaster Box Program”

“When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me. …For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial. Jesus is speaking about the woman with the alabaster box of precious ointment which she poured on his head. You may recall in this chapter that his disciples did not understand, and therefore they criticized her. The scripture above shows the Lord’s response. This woman was operating within her purpose. Although people criticized her, the Lord praised her.

This coaching helps women discover their God-given purpose, strengths, talents, and mission. When you operate in your purpose you build a lasting legacy that will be remembered. In a group setting, we will help participants discover their spiritual gifts, explore how these gifts can be used to further the Great Commission, and build the clarity, confidence and courage to move forward in that purpose despite the opposition.

Executive Coaching: “The Proverbs 31 Program”

King Lemuel’s mother is describing a virtuous woman in this passage. This is a woman who has employees (handmaidens). She is diligent and she is strong. She has good business sense, and she gets things done. She cares about those less fortunate, and she believes in quality merchandise and quality work. She is an executive.

This coaching is for Christian women from the Manager level up to the C-suite. It consists of a tailored, one to one coaching supplying relevant training, action planning and business-related issue resolution. A partial list of topics that can be explored through this training includes:

1. Communication Up and Down the Org. Chart
Subtopics explored include “How to Say It at Work”, managing multiple generations, emotional intelligence, communicating with both direct reports and upper management, and communicating virtually.

2. Influencing the Workplace Culture
Subtopics include fostering innovation, psychological safety, avoiding micromanagement, change management, mentoring employees, increasing employee engagement, and congruency in mission, vision, values, communication and follow up actions.

After a 360, workplace culture, or other assessment, working with the executive to craft an action plan to address areas of challenge, ongoing coaching through implementation of the action plan.

5. Tailored Coaching to Achieve Enterprise-wide or Personal Goals
Includes action planning, implementation, and accountability work.

6. Coaching for the special needs of Christian female executives
Includes biblically based support to increase faith, God-esteem, and confidence. Also helps the executive to gain the inspiration, knowledge, and tools to increase resilience and overcome self-limiting beliefs.
